PCH.com Homepage Redesign

My Role: Senior Visual & UI/UX Designer.

Tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud.

Comprehensive modernization of the core landing platform for Publishers Clearing House (PCH), a legacy enterprise system serving millions of users nationwide. The initiative focused on unifying fragmented brand assets, enhancing visual hierarchy, and ensuring complete accessibility.

The Challenge

  • Complex Business Logic: The legacy platform had to balance multiple high-stakes promotional funnels, sweepstakes entries, and e-commerce modules simultaneously, resulting in a cluttered layout.

  • Multi-Generation Audience: The target user base spans a vast demographic—from younger, mobile-first audiences to elderly users requiring high-contrast visual support and explicit typography scaling.

  • Regulatory Compliance: As an enterprise platform, the redesigned interface needed to rigidly adhere to strict corporate standards and ADA web accessibility mandates without compromising the vibrant, engaging nature of the brand.

Strategy & Information Architecture (IA)

  • Visual Hierarchy Restructuring: Stripped away unnecessary visual noise to center the core user actions on a clean, scannable grid system.

  • Component-Driven Scale: Established a rigorous, reusable component hierarchy (including advanced card and button systems) to eliminate layout discrepancies across subsequent product categories.

  • Accessibility-First Design: Implemented high-contrast color pairings, precise touch-target sizing for mobile, and explicit typography guidelines tailored for multi-device scalability.
